Hi, I’m yan (she/her). Thank you for your interest in the lab. I’m an Assistant Professor of Psychology and Biology and a Weill Neurohub Term Professor at UW Seattle. Broadly speaking, I’m a neuroscientist interested in the evolutionary and social dimensions of aging in invertebrate nervous systems. I did my undergrad at Cornell, where I studied biology, English literature, and Asian American Studies, my PhD at UChicago in neurobiology, and a postdoc in the Ecology and Evolutionary Biology department at Princeton. I think a lot about doing science differently, community building, and books.
