I highly value undergraduate participation in research, and I encourage students from all academic paths to join the lab. Students will work closely with other lab members in experimentation (e.g. molecular biology, behavior, imaging), animal care and husbandry, data handling (e.g. organization, analysis, presentation), and/or developing their own projects. Students work for ~10hrs/week in the lab, either for pay or credit (3+ credits of Psych 499 or Bio 499).

I prefer students to join early in their undergraduate careers, but as one of my mentors put it, “No prerequisites exist, other than the motivation to learn, a curiosity about science, and a commitment to ethical conduct.”

Thank you to all those who have reached out to me already. I will be in contact in late summer/early fall with more information. For others who are interested in joining, please check back in late 2022/early 2023 to see if we have additional openings.
