I’m actively developing a course on racism in neuroscience. The ultimate form of the course will likely be a graduate/upper level undergraduate seminar, for neuroscientists, to debut perhaps in winter quarter 2023. I will make the class details (learning goals, syllabus, expectations, etc) public before then. In the meantime, here are books that I am working through that will undoubtedly sculpt the shape of the course, in the order I was able to copy-paste them from my scattered digital notes:
- la paperson, A Third University is Possible
- Sarah Ahmed, On Being Included
- Ruha Benjamin, Captivating Technology
- Catherine D’Ignazio and Lauren Kelin, Data Feminism
- Safiya Noble, Algorithms of Oppression
- Sandra Harding, Sciences from Below
- Oliver Rollins, Conviction
- Banu Subramaniam, Ghost Stories for Darwin
